Anaerobic digestion is a natural biological breakdown of waste or any organic matter by naturally adding bacteria in a container with no air. This then produces biogas and biofertiliser.

An anaerobic digester is a totally sealed, insulated container or vessel that is mixed and heated.

Anaerobic digestion technology can be used for many applications including:

•  Reduction of organic waste

•  To produce renewable energy

•  The reuse of nutrients for crops

All of this helps reduce the amount of waste that just get piled into a hole in the ground!
